Combat Traits
Berserker
Description: You charge in and attack with fury and disregarding any form of defense.
Effects:
You gain an extra 1d4 to your attack roll when you declare to use this trait. The die result will be added to your attack roll.
Your total endurance attribute will determine how long this trait stay active in a combat round. You also can't turn this trait off by will.
If you score a critical hit, you gain an extra attack to the opponent that got hit. The extra attack will not receive the extra 1d4 die roll from this trait. If the opponent is defeated when you made critical hit, you won't gain the extra attack.
This trait when declared in combat, makes you open to attacks. Any opponents within your reach can make a free attack roll when you use this trait.
Swashbuckler
Description: Your are well trained to parry attacks and perform superb counter attacks when you see an opening.
Effects:
With the exception of the buckler, you can't use a shield to use this trait in combat.
You will need to declare to use this trait in combat and doing so will put you on defensive mode and you are not allowed to attack until you declare to stop using it.
If you use a buckler, you will gain the shield bonus roll to defend. In addition you are allowed to counter attack when the opponent failed to hit you and his 1d20 dice roll result is 3 and below.
If you use an offhand weapon, you can either to use it to parry or use it to counter attack. If you parry, you gain 1d6 die roll to defend. If you use it for counter attack, you gain +2 to your defense and able to use both weapons to execute a counter attack if opponent failed to hit you and his 1d20 dice roll result is 3 and below.
If you use a large weapon, you can execute a counter attack when the opponent 1d20 dice roll result is 3 and below.
If you don't have any off-hand weapon, you gain +4 to your defense and will execute a counter attack when opponent failed to hit you and his 1d20 dice roll result is 5 and below.
Remember, this trait will not allow you to perform attack as long as it is active. You can only counter attack when the opponent failed to hit you and hit the required number of die result.
